Portakabin are modular building innovators providing market leading modular buildings for more than 50 years.
We developed a long term HR Strategy for people to Thrive and Grow with Portakabin. This included developing the traditional HR function to be more Business Partners, along with growing individual professional capability.
We delivered an employee engagement and performance management transformation programme. This commenced with measuring levels of employee engagement, and then using results to highlight the need to transform the performance culture.
We created a bespoke Values Based Performance Culture moving away from once a year low value form filling to a culture of two way year round conversations. This programme became fully embedded with the rollout being led and embraced by senior management.
Subsequent engagement surveys showed 85.5% return rates with 69% of answers being positive. The detail showed significant improvement in managers engaging and in leading their people, identifying and progressing development needs.
We also led numerous business re-structures in manufacturing, sales, marketing, engineering and I.T. In the former evolving supervisors role to lead team, break down role barriers and implement lean methodologies.
Finally we created an in house recruitment function. This saved over £750k in just over 2 years, bringing much sourcing and engagement of candidates in house, implementing an ATS, video interviewing and training managers to engage and interview candidates much better.
